A Consistent Approach

Littlethorpe of Leicester have been manufacturing high quality timber bus shelters since 1983. They were introduced to Bensons by their accountants and I met with their husband and wife management team to discover their frustrations with their existing insurance arrangements. Their problem was largely lack of relationship with their current advisers. They could not speak to a consistent point of contact and were struggling to get straight answers to straight questions and the documents that they needed to enable them to trade.

Bensons were able to provide that consistency of approach and carried out a full review of their insurance programme, highlighting some areas of weakness that their previous adviser had not discussed with them. New quotes were obtained to ensure that these gaps in cover were sealed and the new programme was put into place.

This has left our client with time to concentrate on their own business, safe in the knowledge that their business is protected against the risks that trading brings.

Now Littlethorpe of Leicester have a consistent point of contact who understands their business and how they work, and we have carried out further projects for them such as checking subcontractors insurances to ensure that main warranties are complied with. We have also worked with our client to ensure that risk improvements highlighted in insurer surveys are implemented with the minimum of fuss and expense, ensuring that the overall risk is improved, reducing the possibility of future claims and hence mitigating future premium levels.
