Smoke gets in your eyes

The damage caused by burst pipes in the UK hasn’t even started to be addressed in some areas, given the longevity of the cold snap and very gradual thaw but “weather related” doesn’t just mean burst pipes – one client, due to the extreme cold, decided to light a fire in a little used fireplace, only to have the smoke billow back into the room.  This has caused a lot of damage to carpets; curtains; furnishings; walls and ceilings and this despite the chimney having recently been swept....not a chimney fire thankfully but here are some tips to avoid one, including NOT burning that Christmas Tree!
