So Quinn have announced that they are withdrawing from the Solicitors PI market this year.
No real surprise there given the continuing news stories surrounding them, but it does put even more pressure on an already stretched market facing 30% rises in premiums before this announcement. I still don't understand why the SRA don't allow its members to change their renewal date so there is, at least, no longer a "silly season" where insurers pick and choose the risks they like and consign the rest to the nightmare that is the Assigned Risks Pool. I predict carnage...
